[ "谢崇进(1970-),男,博士后,博士论文获2003年中国百名优秀博士论文提名奖。于2001年5月加入位于美国新泽西州的朗讯公司贝尔实验室,从事光纤通信系统和网络技术研究工作,贝尔实验室杰出研究员(Distinguished Member of Technical Staff),主要研究领域涉及光纤通信系统和网络的各个方面。在贝尔实验室工作期间,参与了多项大容量高速光通信系统的研究,包括10 Gbit/s 和40 Gbit/s 的光直接检测系统及100 Gbit/s和400 Gbit/s的光相干检测系统,3次获得贝尔实验室主席奖。于2014年11月加入阿里巴巴集团,任系统研发美国研究所资深技术总监,负责数据中心光互连和光网络技术。共发表200多篇学术论文,出版了两个学术著作章节,编辑出版一篇学术著作,并获得50多项美国和其他国家专利。受邀参加美国工程院2013年工程前沿课题研讨会(只有100位45岁以下的杰出科研人员和工程师受邀参加)。担任Journal of Lightwave Technology的副编辑和多个国际学术会议技术委员会主席及委员。美国光学学会的会士(OSA Fellow)和电气与电子工程师协会的高级会员(IEEE Senior Member)。" ]

由于互联网业务的快速发展,数据中心的流量已经占据全球通信网络流量绝大部分。作为高速信息传输的主要载体,如今光通信技术已经在数据中心中得到了广泛应用,从距离几米服务器间的光互连到连接世界各地数据中心的光网络。概要介绍了数据中心的光通信技术,包括数据中心之间互连的广域网、城域网技术和数据中心内部服务器及交换机之间光互连技术,并对各个领域内一些不同的技术方案做了简要的讨论和比较。
Due to the fast growth of internet services
datacenter related traffic has become the major part of the global network traffic.As a main technology for high-speed data transmission
optical communication technologies have been widely used in today's datacenter networks
from a few meter server-to-server interconnects to transoceanic datacenter-to-datacenter optical networks.Here the optical communication technologies for datacenters were reviewed
including technologies connecting datacenters in wider-area networks and metro-area networks as well as optical interconnect technologies within datacenters
and the advantages and disadvantages of some technologies in the networks were discussed.
